An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Urgent Care Matron to join our CQC rated ‘Outstanding’ Trust, within our Reading Primary Care Centre.Based at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, you will be working in a passionate multi-disciplinary team made up of GPs, Practitioners. Our Out of Hours Team operates 7 days a week between 6.30pm until midnight (weekdays) and 8am-midnight at weekends.As an Urgent Care Matron, you will direct, lead, and motivate the multidisciplinary team of Nurses, Paramedics and Health Care Assistants to ensure a high standard of professionalism, efficiency, and effectiveness in the delivery of the Out of Hours service. This will include coaching and mentoring, resource planning, standard setting, performance management, team and individual development.You will provide day to day professional leadership for the delivery of the services ensuring the needs of patients are placed at the centre of care delivery.You will provide assurance that standards of clinical care across the nurse and other health care professional delivered pathways are of the highest standard attainable.You will provide credible clinical leadership by undertaking direct patient care in treatment of minor illness as required by the service.

Experience of working in either an urgent care setting such as ED/Urgent Care Centre or a GP practice- desirable. Previous experience of managing a multi-disciplinary team Experience of delivering clinical supervision and mentoring junior staff
